VRPhotos Live Photo Browser

Our Photo Browser is back!! We were unfortunately on the bleeding edge of that technology. We began development of this software when adobe air was in Alpha stage and at each new stage programing parameters changed and negatively effected the software. We are now at a solid release. If you previously installed the software first uninstall by going control panal, uninstall programs, vrphotos.

VRPhotos now offers a live photo browser. This browser is a multi-platform photo browser. From you're computer it can access and download all available photos from www.showhomescalgary.net/vrphotos/ . This browser caches the photos locally making future browsing, and downloading MUCH faster then a website.

HOW IT WORKS.

once installed start the software and use your tourcalgary login (presently you must be the album owner to browse files). If you select remember me then each time you start the software it will go automatically login and fetch data.

Click on the arrow to left of category to open categories and subcategories till your folder is visible.

Once an album is selected page one of thumnails will be displayed. You can navigate to different pages via arrows at bottom of the browser. To see larger version of any photo simply click on the thumnail.

Once a thumbnail is clicked on it will download and cache the mid sized image. this then can be zoomed in or out. You can choose to download full sized original from the website, or you can close the preview and return to thumnails.

If you select download on the original print sized photo you are looking for, you will see a list of thumnails with that image name. Below the thumnail is the image size in bytes. Choose the image you desire, and the largest size. It will then ask you to save the file that is downloaded, save the image to it's default location.

Once save is selected, again staying to its default location it will download from the web the full sized image and save it to your hard drive. Then the image will be displayed in the browswer window. Here you will see the image you've downloaded.

Here you can view the Downloaded full sized original. You can email a link to the photo on our servers by typing in the name and email, and hitting the button Email. This window also allows you to open the folder where the original file is saved on your computer, this is ideal now to move it into photoshop or illustrator.. You may Zoom into the photo, print the photo, and close the photo to return to the last window you were viewing. again the close button will return you to your last viewing.

If you continue hitting close, to return to previously viewed windows, you may logout using the red button on top of window. You may also click and drag images into the lightbox. Lighbox is like a favorites folder. You may click and drag images here from any folder. Click on the image in the lightbox to re-open that image mid sized preview.

HOW TO INSTALL.

This sofware should work equally in Windows or Mac. First you must install Adobe Air

Download the Adobe Air

Once installed, then install the VRPhotos Photo Browser.

NOTE: Windows may try to save this VRPHOTOS.air as a Zip or Compressed folder file. It is not and will not install this way. So when saving the file select Save As - All files then type in or copy the name VRPHOTOS.air ensuring that windows saves the file as a .air file. If it is already saved on you're hard drive you may change the extension of the file to .air (look in windows help for how to change extensions)

You may have to reboot but probably not, for software to run properly, but you are now ready to use our new software.
